The second edition of BUDX presented by Budweiser is all set to take place on the 23rd and 24th march at the iconic Mehboob Studios in Bandra. BUDX is Budweiser’s global collaboration platform pushing the boundaries of urban culture across music, art, fashion, and lifestyle. BUDXMUMBAI aims to bring the artists and their audience under one roof to create a unique, immersive creative experience. The festival is a celebration uniting the sounds that are defining modern India’s soundscape.
BUDX 2019 will take the experience further with collective experiences, workshops, live events and installations. The idea is to build a platform for artists so that they can discover and curate communally.
BUDX this year will see local emerging artists, local tastemakers, and some of the biggest international names taking centre stage. The primary idea is to propagate homegrown sounds, and give the upcoming talents an opportunity to collaborate with some of the pioneers of the global music scene.

For the first time, we will also see select unique pairings who will perform on stage, thus providing a favorable environment, for the emerging and home-grown artists, and the ever growing electronic music community in India.
BUDX will host two stages BUDXDISTRICT which will host the Boiler Room, a global online music broadcasting platform, founded in London, which according to The Guardian has “streamed over 3,500,000,000 minutes of music since starting out” in 2010, and BUXWAREHOUSE stage.
Taking the stage will be India’s face of hip hop, DIVINE, fresh off the success from India’s first hip hop film which has been loosely inspired by his life, Gully Boy. Adding to that are several other performances by some of the finest talent in the music scene, including Mumbai based drummer Aditya Ashok’s alter ego, Ox7gen; English hip hop and dubstep group, Foreign Beggars; and English DJ-songwriter Sub Focus from Surrey; Iraqi born DJ and MC, DJ MoCity; Luffa, the solo project of Peter Cat Recording Co frontman, Suryakant Sawhney; Mumbai based Dreamstates and Spacejams (often associated with deep, fresh and grimy sounds), amongst others.
For those wishing to make the most of the emerging electronic music soundscape in India BUDX will conduct several motivating sessions, including masterclasses, workshops, seminars and real time collaborations. Catering to the modern music lover, the performances during the day will give way to specially curated sets in the evening, with leading artists coming together for performances which will be open to the public.

BUDXMUMBAI, a part of Budweiser Experiences, aims to bring world class music experiences to its audiences. In the second edition, BUDX promises to offer a first-of-its-kind culture shaping experience for its Indian audience. With this festival, BUDX will try and consolidate its place as the ultimate music lab in India for artists to share resources and collaborate on projects.
