About the band:
The world famous New Orleans brass sound, in a light you’ve never seen before! Combining the powers of funk, jazz, hip-hop and soul, Broken Brass Ensemble act as urban brass ambassadors, pioneering on their euphoric groove.

The band has an innate ability to orchestrate a New Orleans hot brass sound, incorporating weird, wonderful and peculiar melodies, irresistible rhythms and an abundance of high passion energy, in fabulous superhero fashion.

With origins based in the Netherlands, Broken Brass Ensemble have been firing up a storm all over Europe with an energizing and eclectic aesthetic, pairing punchy basses with hard-hitting brass. Selling out on CDs and vinyl from all their previous albums and consistently filling 300 capacity (UK) venues without promotion and on live reputation and merit alone, shows that underestimating this octet is out of the question.

The enigmatic eight-piece have conquered most of Europe maintaining an omnipresence with slots on Jazz á Vienne, Secret Garden Party, Shambala, Kendall Calling, Green Man, Fusion Festival, and more. In addition, the globetrotting act has sold out UK venues in Manchester, London, Exeter and Norwic, with airtime from Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show, BBC Radio 6, Reform Radio and Radio Decibel. With more than 400 shows under their belt, and no signs of stopping, Broken Brass Ensemble has become a live force to be reckoned with.
